Fall Chautauqua Series

Our Fall Chautauqua series will begin September 15 at 6pm in the Lighthouse Room, located just inside the north entrance of the building. We are excited to have Dr. Jim McConnell from Gardner-Webb School of Divinity teaching for us.  He will be doing a narrative critical exposition of the Gospel of Luke.

Dr. McConnell is the Assistant Professor of New Testament Interpretation. He has a background or work, research and teaching in the field of electrical engineering as well as theological study and concentration in Luke-Acts. He was an associate pastor for approximately four years in a Baptist congregation in Clover, SC.  He is married to Susan, and they have three children, Luke (who is married to Mary), a journalist in Oklahoma City, Evan, a senior bioengineering student at Clemson, and Molly, a first-year at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Dr. McConnell will also be preaching for us on Sunday Morning, September 15.
