WOMAN’S MISSIONARY UNION
I. ADULT MISSION GROUPS
A. The Bible Study Group meets on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Polly McDaniel at 704-434-2181 is the contact person.
B. The Prayer Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 A.M. either at the church or in homes. Rhea Lamb at 704-434-9392 is the contact person.
II. YOUNG MISSION GROUPS
A. ACTEENS
The Acteens Mission group is for girls in grades 7-12 which meets the first Wednesday night of each month at 6:00 pm.
B. GIRLS IN ACTION
GA’s (Girls in Action) Mission groups are for girls in Grades 1-6. The groups meet on Wednesday nights at 6:45-7:30 on the second floor of the Education Building.
The GA’s are divided into groups according to grade level. There is a class for 1st Graders, a class for 2nd Graders, a combined class for 3rd and 4th Graders, and a combined class for 5th and 6th Graders.
The GA mission projects have included promoting Christmas in August, and collecting school supplies for the Slavic Ministry in Asheville. The projects have been supported by the GAs, their leaders and the generosity of the members of Boiling Springs Baptist church. The supplies will be delivered in October. The collection includes fifteen bookbags and two large boxes of loose school supplies.
The combined 5th and 6th Grade group will have their Fall Retreat at Ridgecrest on the first weekend in November. For information, call Director Barbara Lail at 704-434-9881.
C. MISSION FRIENDS
Mission Friends is for boy and girl preschoolers. The meeting time is 6:45-7:30 on Wednesday nights. There is a 4-year old class and a 5-year old class. For information, call Teresa Heffelfinger at 704-434-6244.
